Meet Tim Madrid

2015 - Tim Madrid and Family

Family Honor is happy to announce that Tim Madrid has been hired as Team Leader for Family Honor’s Columbus, Ohio affiliate.

Tim and his wife, Nina, are the parents of 4 young boys – #4 is due in December. A lifelong Catholic, Tim spent several years studying for the priesthood in New England and Rome before discerning God’s call to married life. He has worked in healthcare management and strategy development during his career and currently leads the department of Orthopedic Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree as well as undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Classical Humanities.

“My wife and I had been praying for some time about ways to get more involved in local ministries when I received an email request for help with the local Family Honor affiliate. Though I hadn’t heard of the apostolate before, the more we discovered, the more we liked. We felt it was an opportunity from God that we couldn’t pass up so I took up the challenge and got involved,” Tim said.

“On a personal level, I hope to learn a great deal from the [Family Honor online] training course and being involved with the apostolate in order to equip myself and my boys as they grow. Their development and spiritual growth is critically important to me and my wife and we want to prepare ourselves as well as we can to form them into the men that God wants them to be.”

Tim commented that “Jon Yerian, Rebecca Gjostein and the other team members have done a tremendous job building the Columbus Affiliate and my hope is to build upon that and help develop more support for Family Honor at all levels in our local community. Our plan is to increase our number of trained presenters in order to be a position to regularly offer sessions in the area. There is a tremendous need for the programs of Family Honor and we hope to make those more readily available. “
