Family Honor and the Diocese of Charleston’s Family Life Office will welcome families from at least 15 states during the Theology of the Body for Families: Hope & Healing conference. The unique event will be held in South Carolina’s Upstate at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, just outside of Greenville, SC. The conference is scheduled for Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7.
Family Honor’s Executive Director, Brenda Cerkez, says this conference was born from a love for families and a desire to respond to the needs of families who are looking for practical answers and help as they struggle to raise children in the current culture.
This summer-time conference in Greenville will assist parents in their understanding of sexuality-related issues, so that they can be in a better position to communicate more effectively with their children about these important issues. It will also be a good resource for catechists and church leaders who want to assist parents they serve.
There is something for everyone at this conference: inspiring keynote addresses by some of the foremost experts in TOB; informative workshops; talks for young adults; Mass with Bishop Robert Guglielmone; and more. Childcare is available so bring the whole family!
