This year, Nov. 1, 2024 (All Saints Day!) will mark my 31st year serving you as executive director of
Family Honor. What a journey it has been!

However, even as I think about this remarkable journey, I realize the time has come to ‘pass the baton.’ Thus, I am announcing my retirement from Family Honor as executive director, effective in this coming Spring.

As I look back on my years with this organization, I can only express gratitude for how much I have learned about myself and about the beauty of Catholic teaching on sexuality and purity, virtuous living, Christ-like love, effective communication, and much more.

God has been very generous in providing an abundance of grace to me and to many others who have been involved with Family Honor. We would not exist as an organization and I would not have been able to do this job without that grace and the prayers of many people.

In any event, although I am announcing my retirement, it is my intention and our board of directors’ intention that Family Honor continues with the important and unique family-centered work for which we are known.

To that end, we are announcing the job opening for executive director and inviting qualified individuals to apply. The open period for accepting resumes is October 1 to December 1. Follow this link for the job description summary and details on how to apply: https://familyhonor.org/jobs

As we begin our search for the new executive director, I am asking for your prayers for wisdom for myself and our Family Honor board. Please pray that …

  • …the Holy Spirit will guide this process;
  • …God will send us the person that He wants to lead Family Honor;
  • …the person who God wants to lead will respond to our job postings;
  • …Family Honor raises sufficient funds to provide a just salary and benefits package for the new Exec. Director;
  • …this transition process goes smoothly

Thanks in advance for your prayers!

P.S. Even though I won’t be leading the organization, it is my intention to stay involved with Family Honor as a Presenter for our weekend classes and our half-day seminars.

In Christ,

Brenda Cerkez
